IWC now pairs its most iconic aviator’s watch with a chronograph function for the first time. Instead of using two pushers at the side of the case, this mechanism is controlled via a single push-button discreetly integrated into the crown. When the button is pushed once, a new timing starts. Pushing the button again stops the timing, and stop times of up to one hour are displayed on the totalizer at 12 o’clock. Pushing the button a third time resets the chronograph to zero.

The Big Pilot’s Watch Monopusher Edition “Le Petit Prince” has all the design features of IWC’s special editions in honour of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s world-famous novel. Here, the deep blue dial with a sunray finish is complemented with a stainless-steel case as well as rhodium-plated hands and appliqués. The IWC-manufactured 59365 calibre is one of three in-house chronograph movements from IWC, and it is the only one that is wound manually. Seventy revolutions of the crown are enough to build up the maximum power reserve of eight days. A power-reserve display on the back of the movement, which can be seen through the sapphire-glass case back, informs about the energy remaining in the mainspring.
