Case‐back includes engraving of the little prince with coat & sword. Although cosmetically identical to the prior model from 2016 (IW5009-16) the Pellaton winding has been updated and the power is now stored in not one, but two barrels in this updated Calibre. Also the winding pawls and the automatic wheel are now made of black ceramic while the rotor bearing is made of white ceramic (such upgraded high-tech materials now virtually wear-free). The design and finish of the movement has also been enhanced while the proportions of the rotor and the inset “Probus Scafusia” gold medallion are noticeably slimmer than prior Calibres.
