The historical ship design on the back of the Big Pilot’s Watch Edition “Boutique London” is featured on the façade of the London building IWC calls home - 138 New Bond Street. It is recorded that Lord Horatio Nelson lived at several addresses on Bond Street and that the ship appears to be contemporary with Nelson, dating from the 18th or 19th centuries. The depiction is thought to be a vessel used in the Americas, all the more poignant given IWC‘s founding story where American Florentine Ariosto Jones set sail in 1868 from Boston across the Atlantic on a pioneering journey. This journey led him to Schaffhausen, Switzerland where he founded IWC.
